Getting creative

Abigail must be missing all the art she used to do at pre-school because yesterday she got stuck into some box construction and ceramic painting. She and Willow dragged out the recycling at Ouma's house and started glueing until they were interrupted by Niave who was supposed to be asleep but was not! Abigail, constructing something out of boxes and toilet roll inners.

Willow putting her glue on.

When we got home Niave fell asleep on the couch while I was getting her supper ready so Abigail had some time to start another project. She found an unopened "paint your own tea set" kit that she has been wanting to do for ages but is always interrupted by Niave who tends to take over and destroy!! The set comes with paints and a brush so all we needed was some newspaper and a jar of water and away she went!

Getting started.

Intense concentration!

Painting the little cups.

The finished product!
All that was needed then was to bake them for a short time on low to set the paint and make it wash proof.
Now if only the homework could go as smoothly!!

Hey Debbie! Well, well done! This one is not floating in cyberspace!! IT actually made it...where it should have!
Abigail didn't seem to struggle with any concentration there!! Beautiful tea set!! Tell her she must invite me (I mean Lea!) for tea then!!
