Follow that star!

Friday was the last day of school. Traditionally on that day we have our end-of-year concert.
It usually consists of the children singing a couple of songs and off they go - I usually call it "Not a concert"!! But this year I decided to do things differently. Most of the group that I had this year have been with me for 2 years and are mostly 4 or thereabout so I felt that they were ready for something more. And so the first Little Plum Tree Nativity concert was hatched!!

It was a very simple concert with 5 or 6 songs and a little poem that they said in between which told the story. I tried to find simple songs with words they could actually pronounce and understand. One song went something like this: "The cow looked at the baby and said moo, moo, moo"! you can basically use any animal and fill in the gaps with the appropriate sound!! They were very sweet, and they looked so cute in their costumes. Niave was the star for the shepherds and kings to follow in a song called "Follow that star". She hasn't been well this week so was a little subdued but she did her bit and stayed in her spot when she needed to - well most of the time anyway! Here are some pictures:
